A Complete Player Pathway for Every Stage of the Game

Two young boys playing lacrosse on a grass field, wearing helmets, gloves, and team jerseys that read 'Louisville Kings.' One boy in an orange helmet is holding a lacrosse stick, while the other boy in a gray helmet is reaching with his lacrosse stick towards the ball.

From first-time players to college-bound athletes, the Louisville Kings Lacrosse Club offers a clear, intentional development path for boys in grades 1–12.

Our programs are designed to support players at every step of their lacrosse journey — teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and preparing athletes to compete at regional and national levels. Between our Lil’ Kings beginner programs, competitive travel teams, high school development, box lacrosse partnership, and Louisville Lacrosse Sixes league, players have year-round opportunities to learn, grow, and excel while staying right here in Louisville.

A Development Pathway Built for the Long Run

Every player's journey is different. Some develop early, some later, and almost every player experiences peaks and valleys along the way. That's why the Louisville Kings has created a complete player pathway that grows with athletes from their first introduction to the game through elite national competition.

Our roadmap provides age-appropriate opportunities at every stage of development, allowing players to move between teams and levels as they grow, improve, and pursue new goals. Whether a player is learning the fundamentals, competing at the regional level, or seeking national recruiting exposure, there is a place for them within the Kings family.

Our Player Pathway

  • Lil' Kings – Learn the game. Build confidence. Fall in love with lacrosse.

  • Jr. Kings – Develop fundamental skills and game IQ in a fun, competitive environment.

  • Louisville Kings White – Competitive regional teams focused on player development and meaningful playing opportunities to take the next step up.

  • Louisville Kings Red – Our top local teams competing against the best regional teams from across the country (and sometimes national teams) preparing players for the next level. High school players only attend tournaments that are recruiting events.

  • Kentucky Kings National – The best middle school and high school players from across Kentucky united to compete at premier national events, including the best recruiting events for high school players.

  • Project Midwest Gold & Black – Elite opportunities for qualified middle school and high school players to compete alongside the nation's top talent. For high school players this opportunity maximizes college recruiting exposure.

Where a player starts is far less important than where they finish. Our goal is to provide the coaching, competition, and opportunities every player needs to continue developing—without having to leave home.

  • "After playing for a different travel lacrosse program, we quickly realized that the grass is not greener and we were lucky to have a program like the Louisville Kings here at home. The Kings deliver on what everyone else promises, but fails on. We are thankful to have such great coaching and development opportunities right here in Louisville. "
